The Ansible/Terraform Automation Engineer will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for developing automation and orchestration solutions to enhance our IT infrastructure deployment and management capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, with extensive experience in Ansible and Terraform. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement automation solutions using Ansible for configuration management and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. 
  • Work closely with the development, operations, and project management teams to understand requirements and develop effective automation strategies. 
  • Maintain and optimize existing Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts to ensure high efficiency and reliability. 
  • Automate the setup, configuration, and management of cloud environments, servers, applications, and databases. 
  • Ensure best practices in security, scalability, and maintainability are incorporated into the automation workflows. 
  • Document automation processes, setups, and configurations for internal use and customer guidance. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in automation technologies and methodologies, recommending improvements to processes and tools. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible. 
  • 3+ years of experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform. 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell. 
  • Solid understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their management APIs. 
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. 
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
