Network Engineer – Isolated Recovery Environment (IRE)

Silex Data Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer – IRE to support enterprise healthcare environments. This role works closely with the Post-Sales Engineering Team, serves as a trusted technical advisor, and helps deliver secure, reliable network solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Manage IRE network architecture with strict segmentation and air-gapped configurations
• Enforce least-privilege access controls, limiting traffic to minimum required ports and protocols
• Configure firewalls, VLANs, and ACLs to enforce boundaries between production and recovery environments
• Collaborate with the Silex Post-Sales Engineering Team on assigned customer accounts
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations during complex networking projects and escalations
• Support customer operations and identify opportunities for network improvements or expanded services
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and customer stakeholders
• Experience following change management processes and maintaining technical documentation
• This is a remote position with quarterly on-site meetings in Nashville, TN. Travel expenses are covered.

Required Technical Experience

• Cisco ACI – configuration, troubleshooting, and support
• Cisco NX-OS, IOS-XE, and IOS-XR, including OSPF and BGP
• Check Point Maestro (preferred) – or equivalent enterprise firewall platform
• Experience working in enterprise network environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable in customer-facing engagements

Additional Experience (Preferred)

• Exposure to automation or scripting tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace)
• Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Participation in on-call or incident response rotations
