As a RHEL Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux server environment, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. You will work closely with our IT team to develop, configure, and optimize enterprise-level Linux systems and applications. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers in a virtualized environment. 
  • Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. 
  • Review system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. 
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. 
  • Configure/add new services as necessary, maintaining operational, configuration, or other procedural documentation. 
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. 
  • Ensure system security through the implementation of best-practice policies and procedures. 
  • Work with the IT security team to ensure that the infrastructure is fully compliant with all relevant standards and regulations. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience managing RHEL systems in a production environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, preferably VMware or Red Hat Virtualization. 
  • Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, etc.). 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. 
  • Strong communication and documentation skills. 
  • Certifications in Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are highly desirable.
