Who we are

Silex Data Solutions ("Silex," "we," or "us") is a solutions provider and systems integrator based in Franklin, Tennessee. This policy applies to silexdata.com and to the information you give us when you contact us by form, email, or phone. Other websites, including the manufacturer and partner sites we link to, have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you send a request through our contact form, we collect your first and last name, work email address, organization, role, phone number if you provide it, the type of request, the workshop or assessment you selected, and your message. The form also records the page you sent it from and a timing value that helps us detect automated spam.

When you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share. If you apply for a position, we collect the information in your application, such as your resume and contact details.

Please do not send passwords, access credentials, protected health information, or other sensitive data through the contact form or by email. If an engagement requires access to that kind of information, we will agree on how to handle it before you share it.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, silexdata.com receives technical information with each request from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. Our hosting provider processes this information to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages they view, how long they stay, the site that referred them, and their approximate location and device type. Google Analytics does not give us your name or email address, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) distinguish visits and expire after up to two years. If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, these cookies are off until you accept them in the cookie banner. Elsewhere they are on unless you decline them.
• Country cookie (sx_country) holds the two-letter country code of your connection for one day, so the site can decide whether to show the cookie banner.
• Your cookie choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the banner does not ask again.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. silexdata.com does not use advertising cookies.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to your request, schedule workshops and assessments, and prepare proposals and quotes;
• provide, support, and invoice the products and services you buy from us;
• send you information about Silex services and events that relates to your business, which you can stop at any time;
• evaluate applications for employment;
• operate and secure the website, and detect spam and abuse; and
• meet our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only in these cases:

• Service providers. Companies that host the website, deliver email, measure site usage, and run our business systems, such as Amazon Web Services and Google (Google Analytics), process information on our behalf and only to provide those services to us.
• Manufacturers and distributors. When you ask for a quote, a product, or a service delivered with a manufacturer, we may share your name, organization, contact details, and requirements with the manufacturer or distributor involved so that they can register the opportunity, price it, or fulfill the order. They handle that information under their own privacy policies.
• Legal requirements and safety. We disclose information when the law requires it, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Silex, our customers, or others.
• Business transfers. If Silex is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the other party, which will be required to handle it consistently with this policy.
• With your consent. We share information in other ways when you ask us to or agree to it.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain our business relationship with you and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or keep it only in a form that no longer identifies you.

Security

We protect personal information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to its sensitivity, and the website is served only over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.

Your choices and rights

• Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request, and we may keep information that the law or a contract requires us to keep.
• Marketing email. You can stop marketing email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by writing to info@silexdata.com. We will still send messages about your requests and our business with you.
• Additional rights. Depending on where you live, local law may give you other rights, such as the right to appeal our response to a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

To make a request, email info@silexdata.com. We respond within the time that applicable law requires. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the site treats it as declining analytics cookies.

Children

silexdata.com is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where information is processed

Silex operates in the United States. Information you send us is processed and stored in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post each update on this page and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you before the change applies to that information.
